A nest for the first days – that’s what an infant bed should be. FEBROMED developed the SidebySide baby bed with this in mind. In the background, the specialist for the furnishing of delivery rooms and maternity wards has taken into account other aspects that are not obvious at first, but are all the more important.

After birth, the child must be with the mother as quickly as possible and for as long as possible. The large dormitories for newborns are only known from mostly American black-and-white films. It is customary for the child to be with the mother at all times of the day and night. This way, the young family gets used to each other and the mother keeps a watchful eye on the child at all times. To ensure this, an infant bed must be as compact as the SidebySide by FEBROMED so that it fits easily next to the mother’s bed – hence the name: SidebySide. The baby cot measures 95 centimetres long and 48 centimetres wide. The lying surface is generous at 65 by 35 centimetres and is also comfortable enough for larger newborns.

The SidebySide baby bed by FEBROMED can be adjusted in such a way that it can be positioned not only next to, but also partly above the mother’s bed. This almost gives the feeling that the child is lying in bed with you, but without the known risks. The lying shell of the bed is transparent so that you can see the child at all times. The strong gas spring allows the height of the bed to be adjusted between 90 and 120 centimetres, and it can be tilted mechanically between -3° and +35°.

The complete bed is extremely tilt-resistant and has the CE mark. Hygiene has also been taken into account. It can be cleaned and disinfected with common surface disinfectants and is thus quickly and safely ready for use again. In addition, it has some practical features that you won’t want to miss after a while. These include two different storage baskets that can be attached variably to the front or back of the lifting column. To ensure that the bed matches the design concept of the ward or birth centre, it is available in all RAL colours and can be customised. This makes it a perfect choice for the sophisticated birth centre or clinic.
